The World Championship of Craps (WCC) 2006 was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, in the month of July and was an event to be remembered. It was a two-day weekend tournaments promoted and sponsored by Golden Touch Craps (GTC) and hosted by Frank Scoblete, the author of famous books on gambling like Forever Craps, Guerrilla Gambling and Craps Underground. There were about ten tournaments for the participants and also an Exhibition Challenge match among the instructors of Golden Touch Craps Dice, though the instructors didn’t participate for any reward or cash prize.

The only qualification for the participants was either to be a student of the Golden Touch Dice Control classes or a life-long member of The Craps Club. Half the cash that was collected as entry fees for the participants was invested in the trophies and honor banquets. The awards for this private tournament were;
• The Captain’s Trophy for the Tournament of Champions and cash reward.
• Beautiful Trophies for the First Prize winner along with reward money
• Quality Plaques for the second and third position with cash reward.
• Group Awards including cash rewards.

Famous Blackjack Players
Some eminent and well known names associated with Craps were present at the World Championships. Actor Barry Sigismondi known for his role as Dominator in the show The Dice Dominator was the guest spokesman at the banquet. John Grochowski, the columnist of the Detroit Free Press and the author of Casino Answer Books Services was a participant. Jean Scott author of Frugal Gambler and her husband Brad Scott were also present. Dr. Don Catlin professor of Mathematics at the University of Massachusetts and author of The Truth Behind Numbers and The Lottery Book was definitely an added boost to the repute of event. Henry Tamburin, a student of the Golden Touch Craps and a champion of the No Seven contest was also there to compete.

The World Championship of Craps (WCC), 2006 organized ten magnificent tournaments with participants around the globe. The tournaments and its winners are as follows;
• The Come out Championship, won by Jim Buckley.
• The Hard Way Championship, won by Tim Bames.
• The No Sevens Championship, won by Phil Corder.
• In The Field Championship, won by Dennis “Nitro” Dion.
• The 4 and 10 Championship, won by Don Garcia.
• The 6 and 8 Championship, won by Pet Higgins.
• On The Hop championship, won by Louis “Lou Cifer” Van Dyke.
• Ultimate Crap Shooter Championship, won by John Chabot.
• Make Your Point Championship, won by Nancy Visco.
Other than these tournaments there was a special tournament called the Tournaments of Champions. The winner and best runner ups of all the other tournaments participated in this tournament for a face-off among the Best of the Best.

Last, but definitely not the least, the winner of the 2006, World Championship Tournament was Linda “Lowroller” Mabry.
Apart from these tournaments there were a fair few Exhibition Challenge Matches where the instructors of GTC competed against each other. The Challenges and the challengers were:
• The Field Challenge, Stickman against Billy the kid.
• The 4 and 10 Challenge, Mr. Finesse against No Field Five.
• The 6 and 8 Challenge, Pit Boss against Tenpin.
• The Hard way Challenge, Howard “Rock ‘n Roller” against Jerry “Stickman”
• The Come out Challenge, Billy the kid against Dominator.
• The No Seven Challenge, Wordslayer against Henry Tamburin.
• On-The-Hop Challenge. Dominator against Howard “Rock ‘n Roller”.
• The Crap Shooter’s Challenge, Satch against Street Dog.
• Make Your Point Challenge, Doc Holiday against Bill Burton.
It was an exciting event and one that was definitely enjoyed by participants and onlookers alike.
